Green Churches Forum 2017

Green Churches Forum 2017 will take place on May 11, 2017 in Ottawa. The Honorable Catherine McKenna, Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change will show her support to Canadian churches of all denominations as spiritual and moral leaders in their efforts to reduce their ecological footprint. She will say a few words at the opening of the Forum and will be on hand to meet and exchange with participants.

The keynote speaker will be The Right Rev. Mark MacDonald who will give the talk intitled "Celebrating the Spirit of Creation".

The Right Rev. Mark MacDonald became the Anglican Church of Canada’s first National Indigenous Anglican Bishop in 2007. He is a third order Franciscan. He contributed to many publications, including "Holy Ground: A Gathering of Voices on Caring for Creation" (Ed. Lyndsay Moseley, Sierra Club Books, 2008)

Theme for this Forum : "Celebrating the Spirit of Creation"

We want to celebrate in conjunction with the celebrations taking place throughout the National Capital for Canada's 150th anniversary. As believers we see Creation manifested in abundance in our home and native land. This event will be like a thanksgiving for the beauty and greatness of God's work from coast to coast to coast.
