Call for Federal Action on Climate Change!
September 2015 - Leaders of Canadian faith communities issued “On Promoting Climate Justice and Ending Poverty in Canada,” a call for federal government action to end poverty and fight climate change.
December 2015 - The Prime Minister and the federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change attended international climate negotiations in Paris.
NOW – CPJ is coordinating a national petition from people of faith who support faith leaders’ call for Canadian leadership on climate change.
March 11 – Federal leaders will meet with Premiers by this date to develop an ambitious emissions reduction target and a concrete plan.
April 22 - Nations will be able to officially sign on to The Paris Agreement.
